Sun Gold 308 L is an extra low carbon 19Cr 10Ni stainless steel type electrode for non – stabilised and stabilised Cr-Ni steels resistant to atmospheric corrosion of the 18/8 type. Very smooth in running with good striking and restriking. Weld metal has regular and Uniform appearance with fine ripples and smooth junction and has excellent creep strength and is of radiographic quality. Slag removal is extremely easy. Can be used in horizontal, vertical-up and overhead positions. Typical applications such as all Cr-Ni steels with low or medium carbon content as well as Ti & Cb stabilised Cr-Ni steels of 18/8 type represented by AISI type 301, 302, 304, 304L, 321, 347 welding of household articles, hospital equipment’s, apparatus for nitric acid, acetic acid, milk and soap industries, valve face and seats.
